Crockpot chicken recipes
May use my crockpot a lot. In winter it is nice to have a hot meal ready when we get home at night. And in summer it is great, not the oven is in hot days. I wish some of our favorite chicken crockpot recipes to share with you:
Chicken and vegetables in the Crockpot
4-6 pieces of chicken
16 oz of frozen vegetables
1 can cream of celery soup
8 ounces grated cheese
There are many combinations for this recipe. If using chicken, use 3-4 of them. If you are the thighs, with 4-6 of them. When I buy frozen vegetables, I see a combination pack of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. You can also use artichoke hearts or asparagus. It really depends on the flavor you want. If you prefer fresh vegetables, chop celery, carrots, onions, broccoli, cauliflower and onions.
I'm not a mushroom fan, so I do not use cream sponge. Play with the many soups. Try cream or cream, broccoli, celery or any other family favorites. Regarding the cheese, I try to use a combination of cheddar and Monterey jack. I think this gives a wonderful flavor. Other people are the flavor of Swiss cheese or Italian cheese blend.
Place chicken in crockpot. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Cook on low five to six hours. For a large area, put a bit more cheese to ten minutes before serving. Our second favorite crockpot chicken recipe is the chicken and stuffing:
1 box of stuffing mix
4 -6 piece of chicken
2 cans of chicken soup
Follow the directions on the package to mix the stuffing to moisten. Instead of the stuffing in a casserole dish, spread it in your crockpot. Place chicken on top of filling. Now the soup on top. Depending on the size of your crockpot, you can soup may be sufficient. If you make two cans of soup, since it can chicken soup and one can cream broccoli soup.
Cook six to eight hours on low.
The last recipe, I would like to share with you is chicken and fruit. I call it chicken and fruit as you can regardless of the fruit you are using:
4-6 pieces of chicken
1 can of fruit
1 onion, quartered
Plain chicken broth (optional)
We have tried this with peaches, apricots and pineapple. Each recipe came out great. Place chicken in bottom of crockpot. Put the onions in chicken. Place fruit on top, along with liquid from the fruit. If you do not have enough liquid from fruit in clear chicken broth to add, until you have the right amount of liquid. Cook on low six to eight hours. I hope that your family has these rights as much as my family does.
