Crockpot brisket
One of the most popular meat my daughter is a breast. She loved the chest, because she is a baby. When I was growing up, making my mother's breast in the oven, to throw a bit here and a bit of pot in it. Although my daughter has the final result, it was almost impossible for me to duplicate the recipe.
Today, I have breasts, I almost always do my crockpot. A breast is a piece of meat, cook for several hours anyway, so why not cook in crockpot, where it remains moist and absorbs all the flavors I add?
One of the sauces I belong ketchup, Worchestshire sauce and onion soup mix. I confuse them and then instead of adding water, do I either Coke or 7-Up, depending on what I read in the house. Add the soda adds a bit of a sweet taste in ketchup mixture. I put the meat on the floor and then put the sauce on top. I then crockpot to low and cook up to eight hours.
Another recipe that I love is a cranberry breast. This recipe requires a little preparation work before you put the ingredients in the crockpot. Sautee two chopped onions, chopped two stalks celery, two carrots and four minced cloves of garlic chopped. When soft, add a can of whole fruit cranberry sauce. Mix and take off the stove. Depending on the size of my breasts, I sometimes brown chest before in the crockpot. When the breast is small, about 3 pounds or less, I skip the tanning process. Place the breast in the crockpot, add the sauce and then with a low to a maximum of eight hours.
Both recipes are good, though I am a great day at work. I plug in the crockpot before you leave, and the meat is tender and done when I work from home. We serve the breast with either rice or potatoes and a hot vegetable. This makes a good meal, very easy to prepare.
